King Richard III was killed in the Battle of Bosworth in 1485. His body was paraded through the city of Leicester by his victor, Henry VII, and was thought to have been unceremoniously thrown into the river Soar (at the point next to the Formers factory).
With new evidence of his unmarked grave, in 2012 Leicester University made the miraculous discovery of his skeleton under a council car park, and in March 2015 was eventually given a Royal burial within Leicester Cathedral, just a few yards away from his original grave (and Formers factory).
